Principal's Message

Welcome to Bridlewood Community Elementary School. Nestled in Kanata South, our vibrant school is home to 400 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.  We offer English, Early French Immersion, Middle French Immersion and Special Education programs. With an expansive yard that extends into city trails and green space, our students and staff enjoy year round outdoor activities such as cross country running and soccer, skating and snowshoeing!

Everyone is welcome at Bridlewood. Our school team is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where students, parents/guardians and community members feel respected, represented and appreciated. We value and celebrate the diversity in our school, believing that it contributes to a positive learning environment for our students, and the wellbeing of our school community.

Student Achievement and Wellbeing are a shared priority. Our school team collaborates to support all students in achieving their personal goals and becoming lifelong learners. We support all students in developing their social skills, nurturing their physical and mental wellbeing, developing good character and building their commitment to community.

Building relationships is the heart of our work. A strong partnership between home and school is essential to optimize student learning and wellbeing. It takes a community to keep our school healthy and safe.  Thank you for your support as we continue to work together to implement Ottawa Public Health COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

We look forward to supporting your child’s learning journey. Together, we will make this new school year one of growth and achievement for all.

Sincerely,

Ms. Bond
