Located in south Kanata, Bridlewood Community Elementary School (BCES) is a learning community of approximately 400 students. Our diverse student population represents many countries and cultures.

A sprawling bungalow, our beautiful school offers refreshed indoor learning spaces including large classrooms, a newly renovated library, learning resource centre, as well as a double gymnasium with change rooms.  We enjoy a sprawling outdoor space including Kindergarten Yard, Primary and Junior Yards, Outdoor Classrooms, Soccer Fields, Baseball Diamond, Basketball Courts, as well as Skating Rink in the winter!  The Children's Village Daycare is located within our site.  Our longstanding partnership with the City of Ottawa provides space in our Community Centre which serves as additional space for learning during the instructional day.

Our dynamic School Team includes Educators, Early Childhood Educators, Educational Assistants, Designate Occasional Teachers, Office Administrators, Library Technician, Custodians, LunchTime Monitors, Student Teachers and Volunteers.  Our staff members bring a rich variety of expertise and talents to our students. 

The Bridlewood School Council is an active and supportive volunteer group including parents/guardians, community representatives, and staff members dedicated to strengthening educational opportunities and partnerships with the community through cooperation and collaboration all to the benefit of our students.

The Children’s Village at Bridlewood is licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and operates in accordance to the Day Nursery’s Act. A kindergarten and school age program is offered to students in Bridlewood and the surrounding area. School-age children are provided with care before and after school.
