Principal's Message

Bridlewood is an inviting and active school community where staff encourage students to become the best they can be! While a robust academic program remains our main focus (as in all schools), but we also want students to develop their social skills, nurture physical and mental well being, build a commitment to community and to develop good character.

The staff work as a team to support the students and help them to set and reach personal goals. We are building a school community that includes students, staff, parents and community members who work together to provide a rich school experience for the children. Extra curricular activities such as intramurals, chess club, improv club, Save the Children, Right to Play, spirit days, competitive sports teams and special events enrich the lives of the students and provide an opportunity to develop new skills, friendships and provide leadership opportunities.

The School Council is very active within the school, and I encourage parents to consider getting involved. The members are very welcoming, fun and enthusiastic, and provide many activities for the students; pizza days, hotdog days, Subway, movie nights, dances etc.! Through these events, they raise money which goes directly to the students in providing special events such as Scientists in the School programs, special presentations, gym equipment etc. The events also provide families opportunities to meet, get to know their neighbors and become involved in the life of their child’s school.

I am most happy to welcome you to Bridlewood and look forward to meeting you.
